Our Company’s Journey to Purchasing Our Own Office Space
Over the years, as the company grew, we moved several times, and each move was quite the ordeal. Initially, we even worked from home. As the business expanded, we moved from a 100-square-meter space to 300 square meters, then to a 1,000-square-meter factory-converted office.

Eventually, the old factory was demolished, so we had to find a new office location. With the company’s growing strength, we decided to purchase our own space.

Since we decided to buy, we wanted something big, so we chose an 1,800-square-meter office. After the renovations were completed, we officially moved in 2018. We are a serious logistics company with scale—we're not in the business of being a small-time operator. We now have nearly 100 employees, making us a leader in the logistics industry. Owning an 1,800-square-meter office shows our commitment to doing logistics well and for the long haul. Clients can be confident that we won’t disappear overnight.

Shipping to the Middle East: Hard to Find Another Logistics Company as Determined as Us
A client from Shanghai deals in bulky items like paper cups and boxes, frequently shipping to the Middle East. This time, they had over 20 cubic meters of goods to ship, and they wanted to send it all by air. I’m quite familiar with Middle Eastern routes, and the client insisted on shipping everything in one batch.

I started by looking at options from Shanghai, focusing on EK/Emirates and QR/Qatar Airways because of their good service. As backup options, I also considered Nanjing and Hangzhou, as international flights from these locations are increasing. I even looked into Wenzhou’s QR flights and considered Beijing, Zhengzhou, Sichuan, and our home base in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, despite the distance.

Finally, the persistence paid off when QR in Shanghai informed me that a shipment had been canceled, freeing up a spot that was perfect for my client. I sent the route and details to the client, who was very satisfied, repeatedly saying, “You guys don’t give up—you make me feel confident!”

We Respond to Client Requests Immediately
No matter what’s happening on our end, we respond to client requests immediately—this is just part of our routine at Sunny Worldwide Logistics.

But that’s not all! As a responsible international freight forwarder, we not only provide logistics services but also handle other tedious tasks for clients. Whether it’s contacting suppliers for specialty goods or taking care of various small tasks, we help our clients get it done.

And our principle is not to charge extra fees—clients only pay for logistics services. This way, they can avoid the hassle and focus on their core business.

Shipping to Libya, Mr. Li Says, "Leave It to This Tough Logistics Company"
Mr. Li, a long-time client from Guangzhou, had a shipment that needed to go to Tripoli, Libya. In all my years in international shipping, I can tell you that flights to Tripoli are rare. Knowing this, I immediately set about arranging an international air freight route from China to Libya. I considered options like shipping to Morocco and then trucking the goods to Libya, but it wasn’t realistic. Even from major cities like Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, there were no direct flights.

Eventually, I found that Hong Kong had a few flights to Africa. I developed a plan that included flight frequency, aircraft types, estimated delivery times, and costs, and I sent all this information to Mr. Li. Given that Tripoli is a remote destination requiring at least one transfer, the airline quoted a transit time of about five days. The next morning, Mr. Li got back to me saying that his client in Tripoli was very satisfied with the plan.

The key to this success wasn’t just comparing prices; it was about understanding the client’s needs and designing a suitable plan. That’s what truly tests a logistics company.

The Dangers of Hidden Costs and Poor Service in Logistics
Before working with us, many of my clients had bad experiences with other freight forwarders in China. They often encountered hidden fees or poor service.

These situations are all too common in the logistics industry. With so many freight forwarders out there, it’s easy to find operations run by just a couple of people in a small, rented room. They’ll take on any shipment, but when problems arise, they pass the buck—this is something I hear about often.

Sunny Worldwide Logistics isn’t like that. We have our own fleet of trucks, and we operate out of a 1,800-square-meter, Grade-A office building in a commercial area of Shenzhen—one of the few in the industry with such facilities. We also use our own ERP software to manage inventory and shipments, which allows us to share data and interfaces with our clients. It’s rare to find another company in China that offers this level of service.

Only a Few Logistics Companies in Shenzhen Have Warehouses Like This
When clients look for a reliable logistics company, one of the key requirements is that the company has its own warehouse. This allows clients to maintain control over the entire logistics process.

Initially, our warehouse was quite basic, with management practices that weren’t very well defined, and goods were often stored without clear guidelines. Then, a friend of mine introduced me to a warehouse at Yantian Port that had a state-owned background. The warehouse had six floors, with strict management rules. Every step, from registration, wearing safety helmets, and work attire, to clear guidelines on where and how goods should be stored, was well regulated.

When goods arrived, they were immediately photographed and weighed, and the space allocation was determined based on the volume. If the volume was significant, we could even request the installation of surveillance cameras for real-time monitoring. The fire safety measures were also top-notch, consistent from the first to the sixth floor. It truly was a top-of-the-line facility, and I didn’t hesitate to lock it in.

Out of the 60,000 freight forwarders in Shenzhen, only three have their own warehouse at Yantian Port with this level of capability. I’m always proud to mention this.
